Transform and Ride: Fortnite’s Wild New Season Adds Optimus Prime and Raptors

Hello my fellow tech enthusiasts, it’s your favorite funny guy Nuked here to talk about the latest update to Fortnite. Epic has just released Chapter 4: Season 3, and it’s called “Wilds.” And let me tell you, things are getting pretty wild on the island.

The center of the map has been destroyed, revealing a new jungle area to explore with ruins. To go along with this theme, there are some exciting gameplay changes. You can now ride raptors, grind on vines, slide through mud for stealthy camouflage, and contend with new plant life, including explosive flowers. Plus, there are new weapons like a boomerang and jars full of hostile wasps.

But that’s not all, folks. This season also features some Transformers elements like a Cybertron Cannon and the ability to play as Optimus Prime if you purchase this season’s battle pass. And his animal counterpart, Optimus Primal, is coming to the item shop.

If you’re into skins, you’re in luck because there’s a full lineup of new ones to choose from. Including a very laid-back version of Meowscles. And speaking of changes, Fortnite is officially calling pickaxes “pickaxes” instead of “harvesting tools,” which makes more sense now that the game offers a Zero Build mode where resources can’t be harvested.

“Wilds” follows the “Mega” season of Fortnite that added a cyberpunk theme and kicked off in March. It included collaborations with Coachella, Star Wars, Attack on Titan, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano alongside significant changes to its creator economy.

Overall, this new season looks like it’s going to be a blast. So strap in and get ready for some wild adventures on the Fortnite island.
