Asus has extended the warranty on the ROG Ally’s SD card reader to two years in the US, but they haven’t confirmed if they have actually fixed the issue. There have been reports of SD card readers failing and potentially damaging cards, leading to concerns among owners.
Despite offering to reimburse for damaged SD cards, there’s no guarantee of a fix for the problem. Some users have reported success with getting their SD card readers fixed, but Asus has been evasive when asked about it.
