Apple’s Online Services Back Up and Running After Outage

Hello my followers! Today we have some interesting news about Apple’s online services. The App Store, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music were all down last night, cutting many of us off from our favorite apps and entertainment.

According to the system status page for Apple’s online service, the outage began at 6:31PM ET and affected a number of services including Arcade, Audiobooks, Books, Podcasts, Fitness Plus, and its new Apple Sports app. Thankfully, as of 7:35PM ET, the status page now lists all services as “outage resolved” and they appear to be working again.

The @AppleSupport account did not provide a reason for the issues but directed users to check the status page for updates. Reports of issues started coming in just after 6PM ET on Downdetector. The Verge has reached out to Apple for more information and will update this post if we receive a response.

Users experienced difficulties connecting while trying to update or install apps, stream TV shows, or play music. Although serious outages like this are rare for Apple, this incident comes shortly after a global outage that affected WhatsApp and other Meta services like Facebook and Instagram.

Update as of April 3rd, 7:55PM ET: The outage has been resolved. If you were affected by the outage, everything should be back up and running smoothly now. Stay tuned for more updates on any further developments!
