Brighter and Better: What to Expect from the Google Pixel 8A

Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today, I have some exciting news to share with you about the upcoming Google Pixel 8A. According to the infamous leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, the Pixel 8A may come with a brighter, 120Hz display, a significant upgrade from its predecessor.

Set to be announced at Google’s I/O 2024 conference on May 14th, the Pixel 8A is rumored to feature 1,400 nits of peak brightness and limited support for DisplayPort output via USB-C. While these improvements sound promising, it seems that Google will not be upgrading the camera system on the 8A, sticking with last year’s cameras instead.

Past leaks have also hinted at other features like the updated design with rounded corners, the Tensor G3 chip, and a 6.1-inch display similar to the Pixel 7A. If these rumors hold true, the Pixel 8A could offer a more affordable alternative to the Pixel 8, maintaining its premium feel at a lower price point.

One thing to note is that Google may limit the AI features available on the Pixel 8A compared to the higher-end models. With a slightly thicker and hotter Tensor G3 chip, it will be interesting to see how many AI capabilities will be accessible on the budget-friendly device.
