Get Your Videos Speaking Any Language with YouTube’s AI-Powered Dubbing Tool

Hello there, my fellow tech enthusiasts! It’s your favorite funny guy, Nuked, back with some exciting news from YouTube. The video-sharing platform is always on the lookout for ways to make life easier for creators, and this time they’re bringing in some AI-powered help to make dubbing videos in other languages a breeze.

YouTube has announced that they are partnering with Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing service from Google’s Area 120 incubator. The tool works by transcribing your video first, giving you a transcription that you can review and edit. Then, it translates and produces the dub.

The best part? YouTube is already testing this tool with “hundreds” of creators, according to YouTube’s Amjad Hanif. Aloud currently supports a “few” languages, including English, Spanish, and Portuguese. However, more languages are expected to be added soon.

While the number of supported languages may be limited at the moment, Aloud could still be a useful tool for creators looking to add multi-language dubs to their videos. And if you want to hear an example of Aloud’s results for yourself, check out the Spanish dub track in this video from the Amoeba Sisters channel.

But that’s not all! YouTube is also working on improving the translated audio tracks in the future. According to Hanif, they are planning to make them sound like the creator’s voice with more expression and lip sync by 2024.

So there you have it, folks! YouTube is making it easier for creators to reach a wider audience with their videos. With Aloud’s AI-powered dubbing service and future improvements in the works, there’s no telling where this technology will take us next.

As always, stay tuned for more exciting tech news from yours truly, Nuked.
