Apple Cooks Up a Feast of New Macs for WWDC: What to Expect

Hey there, my tech-loving friends! It looks like Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference next week might be even bigger than we thought. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple could be announcing “several” new Macs at the show, in addition to the rumored mixed reality headset and operating system updates.

Gurman has already reported on a MacBook Air with a larger 15-inch screen and M2 chip in the works, which could potentially be one of the highlights of WWDC. But that’s not all – Gurman has also mentioned that Apple is testing “a pair of new high-end Macs” with the M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips, which could potentially be revised versions of the Mac Studio.

Furthermore, Gurman has reported on Macs with an as-yet-unannounced M3 chip, including potential updates to the iMac. However, it’s unclear if these will make an appearance at WWDC or when they will actually be available for purchase.

One thing we’re still waiting on is a Mac Pro with Apple silicon, which missed its two-year deadline for transitioning all of its Macs from Intel. While there have been hints about this machine, there’s no concrete information yet.

The WWDC keynote is scheduled for Monday, June 5th, so we won’t have to wait long to find out what Apple has in store. We’ll be covering all the latest news from the show, so stay tuned!
