Halo Veteran Joseph Staten Bids Farewell to Microsoft: What’s Next for the Gaming Industry Icon?

Hello my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today we have some news about a beloved Halo veteran, Joseph Staten. If you don’t know who he is, Staten worked on the first three Halo games and was brought on to help with the development of Halo Infinite. Unfortunately, we have learned that he is leaving Microsoft.

Staten confirmed the news himself on Twitter, thanking his Xbox colleagues for their support during his time with the company. He joined the Halo Infinite development team in August 2020, which was already facing a delay from its original launch date of November 2020. However, with Staten’s help, the game was able to launch in December 2021.

Despite its successful launch, Halo Infinite experienced some post-launch issues, including delays with its campaign co-op and Forge modes. These modes didn’t become available until November 2022. In January of this year, Staten left 343 Industries due to layoffs and returned to Xbox’s publishing division.

Now, it seems that Staten is leaving Microsoft altogether. While we don’t know what his next adventure will be, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates from him in the future.

As always, stay tuned for more tech news and updates.
