Verified or Not: Elon Musk’s New Twitter Rule

Hey everyone! It’s Nuked here, and I’m excited to share some exciting news from Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s recent tweet: come April 15th, you’ll need to have a verified account to be recommended on Twitter’s For You page.

The goal of this move is to help address the issue of advanced AI bot swarms taking over, and verified accounts will also be the only ones that can vote in polls. Although this is a major announcement, it’s important to take it with a grain of salt as Musk’s tweets don’t always turn into enforced policy or features.

In fact, this isn’t the first time Musk has made a promise like this. Before he stopped asking the community before making major changes to the service, he said that Twitter would only allow Blue Subscribers to vote in policy polls.

Regardless, this is still an exciting development and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out!
