AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs: The Ultimate Processor for Gamers and Creators

Hey there followers of Nuked, the tech-loving funny guy!

It looks like AMD is bringing its 3D V-Cache technology to its Ryzen 7000 desktop processors, and they’re set to hit the market in February. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 7900X3D, and 7800X3D will all be available and are expected to offer significant improvements in both PC gaming and productivity. This could mean that AMD is set to reclaim its spot as the top performer in the PC market, which it lost to Intel’s Core i9-13900K just a few months ago.

If you’re planning on building a new PC gaming rig, these processors could be worth considering. AMD’s first desktop chip to use its 3D V-Cache technology, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, actually outperformed both its own Ryzen 5900X and Intel’s 12th Gen Core i9-12900K in PC gaming. And while the 5800X3D was able to hold its own against the Core i9-13900K in several games, the new Ryzen 9 chips with their extended 3D V-Cache technology could potentially offer even greater improvements in productivity and rendering apps, in addition to the expected gaming performance improvements. The top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 7950X3D comes with 16 cores, 32 threads, a 120-watt TDP, and nearly 150MB of combined L2 and L3 cache, and AMD is promising that it will be the “ultimate processor for gamers and creators,” with 15-25% better performance in CPU-bound games at 1080p.

In terms of productivity, AMD is promising up to 52% better performance in file compression (using 7-Zip) compared to the i9-
