Hey there followers! Nuked here bringing you some exciting news in the world of laptops. It looks like AMD is bringing its RDNA 3 graphics architecture to laptops, and they’re promising RTX 3060-level desktop graphics on the latest laptops featuring their new Radeon RX 7600M XT GPUs. That means games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be running at a smooth 100fps at 1080p on these laptops. Impressive, right?
At the top end, there will be two options available: the RX 7600M XT and the RX 7600M. The XT version boasts 32 teraflops of performance paired with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, while the RX 7600M has 28 teraflops of performance with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Both of these discrete GPUs are built on the RDNA 3 architecture and a 6nm process, and they’ll also support AV1 encode and decode. This is great news for streamers and content creators who want to take advantage of the latest video coding format.
AMD is promising that these new laptops will offer 31% faster performance than the RTX 3060 8GB desktop GPU in games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Borderlands 3, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, all running at 1080p with max settings. And it looks like AMD will be going head-to-head with Nvidia’s latest RTX 40-series GPUs in laptops, with Radeon 7000M laptops set to ship starting in February. Alienware’s new M18 and M16 laptops will be configurable with the Radeon RX 7600M XT, alongside the new Ryzen 7000 mobile processors and AMD FreeSync Premium support.
But if you’re looking for something a little more lightweight, AMD also has its Radeon RX 7000S GPUs. These are also built on the RDNA 3 architecture, with the RX 7700S offering 32 teraflops of performance with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, and the RX 7600S boasting 28 teraflops of performance with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Both of these options will also support AV
