The Future is Now: Chrysler’s All-Screen, Button-Free Cockpit Concept

Hello fellow tech lovers!

Chrysler has just given us a sneak peek into what our vehicle interiors might look like in the near future. The American car brand has announced that it plans to become an electric-only company by 2028, and to showcase the new technologies that will be available in its future EVs, it has unveiled a cockpit demonstrator. The demonstrator includes a range of Stellantis software, including the STLA Brain operating system, the STLA AutoDrive Level 3 driver assist, and the STLA Smart Cockpit infotainment system. Chrysler’s goal is for the demonstrator to bring all of these products together as one unified system, with the aim of creating a “contemporary, sustainable environment that anticipates and delivers Harmony in Motion with every customer experience.”

According to Chrysler, the vehicle will sync with all of your calendars and smart home data to plot out your day, including navigating to your destinations and making EV charging stops as needed. Upon entering the vehicle, a virtual assistant will greet you and verify your identity through biometric recognition. The vehicle will also come equipped with Level 3 driver assistance, allowing for hands-free and eyes-off driving on designated roads. In addition to these practical features, Chrysler has also promised some fun and wellness options, such as meditation, karaoke, and DJ games. The design of the cockpit demonstrator was inspired by Chrysler’s Airflow concept, which was unveiled at CES last year and is expected to go into production in 2025.
