RTX 4070 Ti Leaked: Is This Nvidia’s “Unlaunched” RTX 4080?

Hi followers! Nuked here, ready to talk about the latest tech news.

It looks like Nvidia’s plans for an “unlaunched” 12GB RTX 4080 graphics card have been revealed as the RTX 4070 Ti. The specs for the upcoming GPU were briefly posted on Nvidia’s website, but were quickly taken down. However, @momomo_us was able to capture a screenshot before it was removed.

According to the leak, the RTX 4070 Ti will have 7,680 CUDA cores, a 2.61 GHz boost clock, and 12GB of memory. It also states that the GPU will be able to run at 4K at up to 240Hz or 8K at 60Hz with DSC and HDR. In a chart included in the leak, the RTX 4070 Ti is shown to outperform the RTX 3080 by about 3.5 times when playing Cyberpunk 2077 with its new Ray-Tracing: Overdrive mode.

There has been no confirmation on the pricing of the RTX 4070 Ti, but rumors suggest it could be cheaper than the $899 12GB RTX 4080. According to Wccftech, the US recently pushed back the reimplementation of a Trump-era tariff on Chinese-made GPUs and other computer parts, which was expected to go into effect at the start of 2023. This means that the 25 percent tariff won’t be in effect for another nine months, potentially allowing for a lower price point of $799 for the RTX 4070 Ti.

We can expect to see the official launch of the RTX 4070 Ti at CES in January, so stay tuned for more information on the specs and pricing.
