Apple is adding accident, hazard, and speed check reporting to Maps

Apple is bringing accident, hazard, speed check reporting to Apple Maps. The feature is currently only available to users with the iOS 14.5 beta. Similar to user-reporting features found in Waze and Google Maps.

The tool is available on the CarPlay version of maps, too. You can press a new report button in the bottom tray, and select what type of incident or hazard you’re reporting.

Apple’s version of Google Maps is much more in-depth than Google’s. The feature was popularized with Waze, but it’s been available in Google Maps since April of 2019.
