Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! It’s your favorite funny guy named Nuked here to give you the inside scoop on BeReal’s latest feature. Are you ready? Let’s dive in!
BeReal, the app that lets you share your daily activities with friends through selfies and front-facing photos, has added a new feature called RealPeople. This feature is a curated timeline of famous people from around the world that showcases their daily activities. It’s a bit of a departure from the app’s original purpose of sharing your own life with friends, but it still has some interesting potential.
The RealPeople feed aims to show that celebrities are just like us, with regular human lives outside of their public personas. BeReal assures users that the feed won’t be filled with photoshopped images, product recommendations, or disguised ads. Instead, it’s all about highlighting the similarities between regular folks and famous people.
Currently, RealPeople is only available in the UK and can be accessed through the Discovery tab. Users can react to posts using RealMoji and also report or hide posts as needed. BeReal also allows users to suggest someone (even themselves) for the RealPeople timeline through a submission form.
While BeReal was incredibly popular last summer, its hype has since died down due to a lack of new features. Last month, the app added the ability for users to take more than one photo per day, which goes against its original concept of sharing one random moment each day with friends. RealPeople is an interesting addition to the app, but only time will tell if it gains traction with users.
That’s all for now, folks! Keep following me for more tech news and my witty commentary. Until next time!
