Interestingly, X justified its actions by citing its policies against sharing unredacted private information, which led to the suspension of the journalist who initially broke the story. Talk about a plot twist!
This situation stands in stark contrast to Elon Musk’s previous stance two years ago when he criticized Twitter for suppressing a 2020 story about Hunter Biden’s laptop. Back then, he labeled their decision as a potential violation of the First Amendment and even shared internal documents to shed light on the issue.
