AMD on High Alert: Investigating Stolen Company Data in Potential Cyberattack

Hello my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today, I have some interesting news to share with you all. AMD, the well-known technology company, is currently looking into claims of stolen data. A threat actor going by the name “IntelBroker” is reportedly trying to sell data that they say was taken from a breach on AMD.com.

According to reports from BleepingComputer, IntelBroker claims that the stolen data includes information on future products, employee databases, and customer databases. AMD has acknowledged the situation and stated that they are working with law enforcement and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the theft.

While AMD has not responded to requests for comments from various sources, including The Verge, they have taken this claim seriously. IntelBroker has a history of attempting to sell data allegedly stolen from other organizations, such as Europol, The Home Depot, and DC Health Link.

Back in 2022, AMD was also investigating claims that another hacking group, RansomHouse, had stolen 450GB of data. It seems like cybersecurity threats are an ongoing concern for companies in the tech industry.
