Framework Laptop 16 Update Brings Nvidia GeForce to the Modular Gaming Laptop

Hey there, tech enthusiasts! Nuked here, ready to give you the latest and coolest in technology news with a dash of humor.

Framework has been making waves with its modular, repairable laptops. This year, they’ve rolled out several upgrades, including new models like the Ryzen AI-powered versions. But the big news? An exciting update for the Framework Laptop 16, turning it into a powerhouse with Nvidia’s latest graphics.

The new Laptop 16 now features a cutting-edge graphics module with the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070. This upgrade promises a 30-40% speed boost over previous Radeon models and adds support for Nvidia’s DLSS and CUDA technologies, perfect for gamers and creative pros alike.

One cool thing is the new GPU’s smaller size, which shares similarities with desktop RTX 5060 Ti cards. It’s more efficient and supports advanced ray tracing, making your gaming possible with beautiful visuals. Plus, the upgraded cooling system and a higher power supply ensure it stays cool under pressure.

The laptop’s screen also gets a boost, with second-generation 16-inch panels supporting Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, although firmware updates are still in progress for G-Sync on older screens. The exterior design remains sleek, with better build quality and added features like a 1080p webcam, a more rigid aluminum top, and user-friendly keyboard tweaks.

Under the hood, the Laptop 16 keeps its expandable design, allowing up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and multiple SSD slots. The CPU options include high-performance Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 chips, boasting Zen 5 cores and integrated Radeon GPUs. Buyers can choose models with or without the new graphics module, depending on their needs and budget.

Preorders are available now, with prices starting at $1,499 for the DIY kit, and shipping begins in November. The older Ryzen 7 models will also persist at a reduced price of $1,299, offering a cost-effective option before they’re gone.

Overall, Framework’s latest update really proves you can have a powerful, upgradeable gaming laptop that’s also repairable and customizable. Now that’s tech with personality!
