This quick-commerce surge means millions skip traditional waiting times and prefer instant access, as startups race to meet this demand.

One such startup, Pronto, lets users book cleaning, laundry, and household help in just 10 minutes. Back in May, they raised a seed round of $2 million at a $12.5 million valuation. Fast forward, they’ve now secured $11 million in Series A funding at a $45 million valuation, led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital. Bain Capital Ventures also chipped in.

Why the rapid growth? Pronto’s founder, Anjali Sardana, told TechCrunch that their revenue has quintupled since emerging from stealth just three months ago. Daily bookings now hit four-digit numbers, and they anticipate annual recurring revenue between $750,000 and $1.5 million, though she keeps exact figures private.

Sardana attributes their success to two big factors: momentum and investor confidence in their team’s speed and quality. Investor Rahul Garg from General Catalyst praises Anjali’s impressive achievements and inspiring vision, especially considering her young age and international experience.

Pronto is expanding rapidly. They’ve grown from two to six hubs in Gurugram, strategically placed at intersections to cover neighboring sectors efficiently. Their main customers are busy professionals in highly localized areas where demand is high.

Looking ahead, Pronto plans to extend within Gurugram and into other Indian metropolises like Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next year and a half. They currently have 33 staff members and around 750 workers registered on the platform.
