Nvidia is working hard to keep its chips rolling into China despite U.S. restrictions. The company plans to introduce a new AI chip tailored specifically for the Chinese market, possibly as soon as September. This info comes from the Financial Times.
This upcoming chip will be based on Nvidia’s Blackwell RTX Pro 6000 processor, but it’s been modified to comply with export rules. Interestingly, these chips won’t feature high-bandwidth memory or Nvidia’s NVLink, which are hallmarks of their top-tier AI processors.
