Google just announced its second batch of companies taking part in the AI Academy focused on American infrastructure. It’s a four-month virtual setup, with an in-person summit planned at Google. The focus is on early-stage firms, from seed to Series A, offering free support and leadership coaching.

Applications rolled out in April and closed in May. To get in, startups needed at least six months of runway and proof of momentum. Google has a strong track record—its first cohort included firms like Cloverleaf AI, which secured $2.8 million, and Zordi, which raised $20 million. These companies are now working with Google’s vast cloud network.

This latest cohort features exciting companies such as Attuned Intelligence, making AI-driven voice agents, and Block Harbor, specializing in vehicle cybersecurity. Other firms include CircNova, which analyzes RNA using AI; CloudRig, helping contractors with project management; and Making Space, which connects disabled workers with employers.

Additional startups focus on healthcare, supply chain automation, satellite data processing, and even personalized fishing tips! Google’s initiative supports these innovators with resources like sales training and leadership development, fostering growth and solutions that could shape our future infrastructure and beyond.

Google’s commitment extends further. The company has previously invested in research and nonprofits, including a $20 million fund for scientific AI research and a $120 million fund to broaden AI education worldwide. The AI Academy is just one piece of Google’s larger puzzle in AI innovation and investment.
