This feature is accessible only through TikTok’s Story Camera. It creates engaging short videos from your static images, highlighting gestures or changing scenery. For example, a picture of a beach with clouds can turn into a scene with a shifting sky and crashing waves, adding more vividness to your stories.
Almost a few years after TikTok introduced an AI generator for text-to-image creations, now they’re taking things further by enabling users to craft videos from images. Similar features, like Instagram and Snapchat, also support AI-generated visuals, but TikTok’s new tool emphasizes transforming your images into dynamic videos.
Every AI-enhanced TikTok story will have a label to inform viewers about its AI origin, along with embedded C2PA metadata for transparency, making it clear that the content was AI-generated. TikTok emphasizes safety, with moderation checks on uploaded photos, prompts, and videos before posting. Users can report problematic content, and a final safety review is conducted before sharing.
