Nintendo has announced that the new Switch 2 will be available for pre-order in the U.S. starting April 24. Luckily, despite worries about new tariffs during the Trump administration, the price will stay steady at $449.99. The console is set to launch on June 5, bright and early!
However, this price stability doesn’t extend to accessories. Nintendo revealed that market conditions will push accessory prices up by around $5. The Switch 2 Pro Controller will now cost $84.99, a small bump from before. The Joy-Cons will be priced at $94.99, and the new camera attachment will retail at $54.99. The core games like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza will keep their original prices, though.
In the gaming world, other companies are also adjusting prices. Sony recently raised the price of PlayStation 5 across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Expect the U.S. to see similar changes soon.
