Archer Aviation is making this vision a reality by proposing an innovative air taxi network in New York City, partnering with United Airlines. Their plan includes a compact system with nine key nodes, connecting major airports like JFK, La Guardia, Newark, and regional spots such as Teterboro and Long Island, all served by their electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).
The company envisions flying passengers across the city in a flash, replacing noisy helicopters with quiet, eco-friendly aircraft. Their goal is to start small, with five aircraft in NYC, perfecting the routes before expanding to other cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami.
