The latest iteration, dubbed Nova Reel 1.1, boasts the capability to produce ‘multi-shot’ videos while maintaining a consistent style across all shots. Sounds cool, right?
With a generous character prompt of up to 4,000, users can craft extensive two-minute videos composed of short six-second shots. Additionally, the model introduces a new feature called ‘Multishot Manual,’ allowing users to guide video composition using both images and text prompts.
But wait, there’s more! Nova Reel can utilize a 1280×720 resolution image and a 512-character prompt to create multi-shot videos featuring as many as 20 distinct scenes.
Currently, Nova Reel is exclusively available via AWS platforms, including Bedrock, Amazon’s AI development suite. However, users need to seek special access to tap into this powerful tool.
Of course, with great power comes great responsibility. Questions arise over the ethics of training data used in these generative models, especially concerning copyrighted materials. Amazon has not disclosed the specific data sources used for Reel’s training.
