Hello, tech enthusiasts! Today, let’s dive into the exciting world of Nvidia’s latest graphics cards.
Nvidia has recently launched its GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs, yet you might have noticed that they are more challenging to find than a needle in a haystack! Whether you prefer Nvidia, AMD, or Intel, securing one of these new cards at their listed price seems like a quest for the Holy Grail.
But don’t worry! Hope is on the horizon as the much-anticipated Specs for the RTX 5060 and 5050 series have leaked. It’s just around the corner!
These entry-level cards don’t typically grab headlines, but they are the backbone of many gaming PCs, according to Steam’s Hardware Survey. Yes, that’s right! The xx60 and xx50 cards are what the majority of gamers are investing in.
As per the leaked details shared by the reliable leaker Kopite, Nvidia appears to be playing it safe with a refresh that mirrors the existing 50-series cards.
The new 5060 GPUs are set to feature the cutting-edge Blackwell architecture, a bump in the CUDA cores, an upgrade from GDDR6 to GDDR7 memory, and an increase in power draw, all while keeping the same memory size and bus width.
Specifically, the 8GB versions are likely to cater primarily to 1080p gaming, and that’s great news for budget gamers!
The RTX 5060 Ti will also have two versions – one sporting 8GB and another with a whopping 16GB. However, we can’t overlook that the 4060 Ti struggled with its 128-bit memory bus, especially when aiming for 1440p and 4K rendering. Fingers crossed that the switch to GDDR7 makes a noticeable difference!
For the budget-minded, the RTX 5050 represents more than just a mere upgrade; it’s a significant update after a skipped generation. While it sticks with a sensible power budget, it is still said to retain the same CUDA cores as the RTX 3050, relying heavily on architectural tweaks and speed enhancements.
Price-wise, we should expect the 5060 series to hover around the current retail prices of the 4060 series—around $300 for the 4060 and $400 for the 8GB 4060 Ti. The 16GB 5060 Ti may be perched at $450 to $500.
As always, AMD is lurking with its Radeon RX 9060 series, while Intel has recently introduced its Arc B580 and B570, creating more competition in the market.
Stay tuned as we unravel more exciting news in the tech universe!
