At CES 2025, Nvidia revealed that these ACE characters will evolve into “autonomous game characters.” Imagine having a teammate who not only understands your strategies but can also help you snag that coveted chicken dinner in PUBG. According to Nvidia, these characters can perceive, plan, and act just like human players!
Thanks to some fancy tech called “small language models (SLMs),” these characters will make decisions at speeds comparable to humans. Plus, with multi-modal SLMs for vision and audio, they’ll be able to hear those sneaky footsteps and react accordingly. Talk about an upgrade!
Enter the “PUBG Ally,” touted as the “world’s first Co-Playable Character (CPC).” This AI sidekick is designed to communicate in-game lingo, give strategic tips, share loot, and even drive vehicles while battling it out with other players. Sounds like a game-changer, right?
