Chevy Shakes Up the EV Market: New Silverado Work Truck Launches at $57K!

Hey there, tech enthusiasts! It’s your favorite funny guy, Nuked, here to sprinkle some humor on the latest news from Chevy!

Chevy has decided to shake things up a bit with their Silverado EV lineup for 2025. They’ve introduced a new standard range Work Truck (WT) version that kicks off at a wallet-friendly $57,095. This price tag includes destination charges, though other fees are still up for debate as Chevy lets dealers set the final price. Talk about a plot twist!

In addition to the Work Truck, Chevy is rolling out several new versions of the electric Silverado, offering more options than last year’s single RST trim that nearly broke the bank at around $100,000. Now you can snag a more affordable RST starting at $89,395, boasting a respectable 390-mile EPA range. Options galore!

As for the nitty-gritty details of the $57K Work Truck’s range, we’ll have to wait until closer to launch for the scoop. But fear not! There’s also a Max Range version that promises an impressive 492 miles of EPA range for $77,795. It’s like they’re saying “Range? We got you covered!”

Meanwhile, Ford is in on the action too, offering their “Pro” version of the F-150 Lightning starting at $54,995 with a modest 240 miles of range. Competition is heating up in the electric truck arena!

The Silverado EV LT is likely to be the star of dealer lots, starting at $75,195 with an estimated 408 miles on a full charge. This beauty packs a punch with 645 horsepower and can tow up to 12,500 pounds! Plus, it has an 1,800-pound payload capacity and can charge at an impressive 300kW DC speed. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on whether Chevy will include a built-in NACS plug for 2025.

If you’re dreaming of SuperCruise capabilities, though, you’ll need to dig a little deeper into your pockets for that premium package. Most of the 2025 Silverados are set to hit customers later this year—just keep an eye out for that budget-friendly model arriving later in the model year.

So there you have it! Chevy is making waves in the electric truck market with more options and better prices. Stay tuned for more updates and keep that tech love alive!
