Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! It’s Nuked here, ready to blast off into the latest SpaceX news. Buckle up because we’re diving into some exciting rocket updates!
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given SpaceX the green light to resume flights of its Falcon 9 rocket after a brief grounding due to a landing mishap. Just last Friday, the FAA cleared the way for takeoff, and SpaceX didn’t waste any time—two launches have already taken place, successfully deploying 42 more Starlink satellites into orbit!
While the FAA continues its investigation into the previous landing incident, they’ve confirmed that SpaceX can proceed with flights as long as all other licensing conditions are met. Talk about a quick turnaround! SpaceX had asked for permission to fly again on Thursday, right before the FAA made their initial grounding decision.
On top of regular Starlink missions, SpaceX is gearing up for an exciting private venture called Polaris Dawn. This mission aims to send billionaire Jared Isaacman and three lucky crew members through the Van Allen radiation belts for the first-ever private astronaut spacewalk. Now that’s what I call a space adventure!
But that’s not all! SpaceX is also preparing to launch two astronauts to the International Space Station on NASA’s Crew-9 mission, which could happen as soon as September 24th. Recently, NASA made some changes to the crew lineup by swapping out two astronauts to accommodate Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore. These two are set to return to Earth in February after their Boeing spacecraft was deemed unfit for crewed flights.
And speaking of tech adventures, let’s not forget about those quirky YouTube videos claiming they can rescue your wet phone with just sound! David Pierce from The Verge is on a mission to test if they really work. Plus, there’s buzz about some new AR glasses from Snap and Meta that are expected to hit the market this fall. Stay tuned for more tech tales!
