Hello, my fabulous tech enthusiasts! It’s Nuked here, ready to sprinkle some humor into the serious world of technology and current events. Buckle up for a wild ride through the latest scoop!
FBI Director Christopher Wray had some intriguing insights to share on Wednesday regarding the individual who attempted to take down former President Donald Trump. It turns out that just a week before the rally shooting, this person was busy Googling “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” as reported by The New York Times. Talk about a deep dive into history!
Investigators traced this curious search back to 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who apparently had a bit of an obsession with the infamous 1963 assassination of JFK. Wray pointed out during a hearing with the House Judiciary Committee that this search sheds some light on Crooks’ mindset. Interestingly enough, it coincided with the day he registered for the Butler rally.
According to the NYT, Wray revealed that Crooks made two visits to the Butler, Pennsylvania rally on the morning of July 13th. During his second trip, he decided to take his drone for a spin, flying it around the showground for about 11 minutes. And guess what? The drone was from DJI! Who knew drones could be part of such a serious situation?
In a twist of tech fate, last week the FBI managed to access the shooter’s phone, but they’re still scratching their heads over his motive. Wray mentioned that traditional sources of information haven’t provided any significant clues regarding why Crooks did what he did. It seems like they’re still piecing together this puzzle!
So there you have it, folks! A mix of history, technology, and some perplexing motivations. Stay tuned for more updates as this story unfolds! Until next time, keep your gadgets close and your humor closer!
