Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today, I have some exciting news to share with you all. Netflix has decided to settle the 15-year-long rivalry between competitive eaters Chestnut and Kobayashi in a unique way – with a live hot dog-eating contest!
On September 2nd, Netflix will be airing Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef as part of its lineup of live events. This event joins the ranks of Christmas Day NFL games, WWE Monday Night Raw, and the delayed Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight.
In a press release, Netflix highlighted the seriousness of the event, quoting Kobayashi as saying, “Retiring for me will only happen after I take him down one last time… Competing against Joey live on Netflix means fans all over the world can watch me knock him out.” Chestnut added, “It’s time to give the people what they want!”
The competition will be even more intriguing as both Chestnut and Kobayashi will be skipping the annual July 4th Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest that made their rivalry famous. Kobayashi was banned from the contest in 2010, while Chestnut faced a ban from Major League Eating related to a deal with Impossible Foods. Stay tuned for more details on the location and timing of this epic showdown!
