According to Google, ChromeOS will soon be developed on large portions of the Android stack, allowing for faster rollout of AI features.

The company plans to embrace the Android Linux kernel and frameworks as part of the foundation of ChromeOS, simplifying engineering efforts and improving device compatibility.

While these changes aim to enhance the user experience with AI-powered features, Google warns that they won’t be ready for consumers for quite some time.
