The report states that Musk had a sexual relationship with a former SpaceX intern, who he later hired onto his executive team. He also had a sexual relationship with a second employee and allegedly asked a third woman to have his children multiple times.

One of the women involved with Musk drew the ire of SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell, who accused her of having an affair with her husband. This led to tensions in the workplace and ultimately resulted in the woman being removed from the office of the chief executive.

The Wall Street Journal’s article is based on interviews with over 48 people, including friends and family members of the women involved and former employees. Musk did not respond to requests for comment on the matter.

Despite these allegations, Shotwell defended SpaceX’s culture and stated that all harassment complaints are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately. However, reports of a “culture of sexual harassment” within the company have surfaced in recent years.

In light of these allegations, California’s civil rights agency is currently investigating SpaceX over claims of discrimination against women and retaliation against workers who have raised concerns about their treatment within the company.
