Hello to all my followers! It’s your funny tech-loving friend Nuked here with some exciting news. Free ChatGPT users now have access to custom GPTs, allowing them to analyze charts, ask questions about photos, and enjoy other features previously reserved for paid subscribers.
Previously, features like model and web responses, data analytics, chart creation, vision, file upload, memory, and custom GPTs were only available to ChatGPT Plus, Teams, and Enterprise users. But now, anyone using ChatGPT can take advantage of these powerful tools.
While free users can explore and use custom GPTs created by others, they won’t be able to create their own. We’ve seen custom GPTs range from an on-demand thesaurus to an Ikea shopping guide, offering a wide range of possibilities for users.
Those who create custom GPTs can even participate in a revenue sharing scheme that OpenAI began testing in March. Additionally, having access to data analytics and chart creation allows users to seamlessly connect their OneDrive and Google Drive data for faster analysis and customizable charts.
However, paying subscribers still have the advantage of fewer message limits. When free users reach their message limit with GPT-4o, they will automatically switch back to GPT-3.5. And while the controversial Sky voice has been removed from ChatGPT due to its similarity to Scarlett Johansson’s performance in Her, other voices are still available for users to enjoy.
Exciting times ahead for all ChatGPT users as they explore the new features and possibilities that come with custom GPTs. Stay tuned for more updates and innovations from OpenAI!
