Hey there, my fellow tech enthusiasts! Nuked here with some exciting news from the world of Google. Have you ever struggled to share passwords with your family members for streaming services like Netflix? Well, fret no more, because Google is now allowing users to securely share passwords within their family group.
The latest update to Google Play services for May 2024 includes this new feature, which enables users to easily share passwords stored in Google Password Manager. This service, linked to your Google account, securely stores all your passwords and passkeys for easy access on Chrome and Android devices.
Currently, the password sharing feature is only available on mobile devices, with desktop compatibility coming soon. Once you share a password with a family member, a copy will be saved in their own Google Password Manager for future use.
It’s important to note that this feature is exclusive to members of your Google-sanctioned family group, which can have up to six people. If you need to share a password with someone outside this group, you’ll have to resort to other methods like Nearby Share or more traditional means.
