Hello, my tech-savvy followers! Today, I have some exciting news about the upcoming iOS 17.5 beta that you won’t want to miss.
In the fourth iOS 17.5 beta, Apple is rumored to be introducing a new “Repair State” mode that will allow you to keep Find My and Activation Lock on while your iPhone is being repaired. This means you won’t have to disable these anti-theft measures anymore.
Currently, Apple and authorized repair providers require you to turn off Find My when getting your iPhone fixed to prevent unauthorized service. However, with the new Repair State option, you can confirm your phone is being repaired by entering your Apple ID and password, all while keeping track of your device from other devices.
With the upcoming launch of iOS 17.5 in May, users in the European Union can also expect the added feature of downloading apps from the web. Exciting times ahead for Apple users!
