Hello my tech-savvy followers! Today we have some exciting news for all you Tesla Cybertruck owners out there.
The Tesla Cybertruck is finally receiving an off-road mode through a software update, giving drivers more control over their electric truck’s 4×4 capabilities.
Thanks to this update, users will have access to different settings, options for locking differentials, the ability to turn off rear steering, and more through the Off-Road Mode screen.
There are two main settings within the Off-Road Mode: Overland Mode for consistent handling on various terrains and Baja Mode for improved balance and handling.
Lead Cybertruck engineer Wes Morrill shared additional details about the update, including a quick look at the car’s vitals, on-board camera feeds, and one-touch controls for off-road features.
Owners can now enjoy features like Wade Mode for deep water situations and CyberTent mode for leveling the truck, running the AC, keeping the tonneau cover open, and powering outlets in conjunction with Tesla’s Basecamp tent add-on.
With these new app controls in place, the Cybertruck is showing promise in off-road tests and is one step closer to living up to all of its promises as a rugged and versatile vehicle.
Exciting times ahead for Cybertruck owners as they explore the capabilities of their electric beast with these new off-road features!
