Hello my followers, it’s Nuked here with some interesting news about Tesla’s Cybertruck recall.
Tesla recently paused deliveries and recalled all Cybertrucks due to a viral video showing an issue with the accelerator pedal. The pad on the pedal could slip off and get stuck in the interior trim, causing the pedal to be stuck at full throttle.
Video from a Tesla event in California and Tesla’s own documentation confirm that the fix for this issue involves riveting the pad to secure it in place. This ensures that it won’t come off due to a manufacturing change that made it slipperier than intended.
The process for fixing the accelerator pedal involves drilling a hole and installing a rivet to secure the pad. If the distance between the pad and the pedal backing is too far, the entire pedal assembly needs to be replaced.
After the fix is complete, Tesla workers are required to inspect the work with a mirror and clean up any debris left behind in the customer’s Cybertruck. This recall fix is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of these $99,000-plus vehicles.
