Nuked Hello, my fellow tech-savvy friends! Today, I have some exciting news to share with you. Sega is taking one of our favorite classic games, Golden Axe, and turning it into an animated series. How cool is that?
Comedy Central has already ordered 10 episodes of the show, promising that it will be both hilarious and loving in its adaptation of the fantasy beat’em up sidescroller game. I can already picture the chaos that will ensue over who gets to ride the purple bird dinosaur!
The masterminds behind this project are producers Mike McMahan and Joe Chandler, with Chandler taking on the role of showrunner. The show’s release date has yet to be announced, but I’m eagerly anticipating its arrival.
Some familiar faces will be part of the cast, including Matthew Rhys as Gilius Thunderhead, Lisa Gilroy as Tyris Flare, and Liam McIntyre as Ax Battler. It’s exciting to see these characters come to life on screen.
With a new Golden Axe game on the horizon, it seems like we might be in for a Golden Axe renaissance. Who knows, maybe we’ll even see more classic games getting the animated series treatment in the future. The possibilities are endless!
