Hello my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today I have some interesting news to share with you. Pornhub, the popular adult website, has made a bold move in response to Texas’ online age verification law.

Last year, Texas implemented a law that requires users to upload government IDs before accessing adult websites like Pornhub. The site has now disabled access for users in Texas, stating that this method is not effective in protecting online users.

This is not the first time Pornhub has taken a stand against age verification laws. Last year, they blocked access in several states and recently went dark in North Carolina and Montana. They believe that on-device age verification is the most effective solution to protect minors and adults alike.

According to Alex Kekesi, vice president of Aylo, the parent company of Pornhub, the Texas law is ineffective and dangerous. It could impact content creators and their ability to share legal adult content.

Furthermore, Pornhub may face challenges outside of the US as well. The EU’s Digital Services Act could require them to implement age verification and remove illegal content. Pornhub has already taken legal action against the EU over this designation.
