Hey there, my tech-savvy followers! Today, let’s talk about a new feature that Amazon is rolling out for sellers.
Amazon is introducing a generative AI feature that will allow sellers to easily create product pages by simply pasting a link from their external website. This AI will generate a product page complete with descriptions and images, saving sellers time and effort in bringing their products to Amazon.
The goal of this feature, according to Mary Beth Westmoreland, Amazon’s VP of worldwide selling partner experience, is to streamline the process for sellers. However, Amazon cautions that sellers must have ownership or rights to the content they are linking to, or else legal action may be taken.
This new feature is currently being rolled out and will soon be available to US sellers. Westmoreland mentions that sellers have been embracing AI tools on Amazon, with nearly 80 percent of users accepting AI-generated listings with minimal human editing.
Amazon has been actively investing in AI tools, not just for sellers but also for shoppers. They recently unveiled Rufus, an AI chatbot that assists buyers with questions, product suggestions, and model comparisons. Despite some hiccups like making jokes or writing songs about items, Amazon continues to push forward with AI technology across its platform.
