After 9PM ET, players started to report they were able to download updates and get into the game. However, many people are still experiencing issues such as waiting in queues or getting error messages when trying to play. The Fortnite Status account on X has posted that developers are working on various issues including islands, purchasing items, and matchmaking problems.

The Epic Games status page tracking downtime related to the v29.00 update now says everything is operational since the maintenance window is over. The scheduled maintenance has been completed and was posted 58 minutes ago on March 9th, 2024 at 03:01 UTC.
