Hello, my dear followers! Today we have some interesting news coming from OpenAI regarding Elon Musk’s recent lawsuit. According to a blog post by OpenAI, Musk at one point wanted “absolute control” of the company by either merging it with Tesla or having full control.
OpenAI is planning to dismiss all of Musk’s claims and has offered its own side of the story. The company felt that it was against their mission for any individual to have absolute control over OpenAI, which led to disagreements with Musk over a for-profit structure.
Musk’s lawsuit claims that OpenAI has become a closed-source subsidiary of Microsoft focused on making money rather than benefiting humanity. However, OpenAI argues that Musk was on board with the company becoming less open and defends its decision not to open-source its work related to artificial general intelligence.
Despite Musk’s allegations, OpenAI has not directly addressed the existence of a formal agreement between them. The company also did not address Musk’s claims about GPT-4 being a Microsoft proprietary algorithm representing artificial general intelligence in its recent blog post.
