Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! Today I have some exciting news to share with you. Google Drive for iOS has just received an update that brings better filtering options to its search feature. According to the company’s Workspace Updates blog, users can now filter searches using dropdown menus for File Type, Owners, and Last Modified.
The new dropdown menus appear before and after a search, providing relevant filter recommendations as users type. This update is available to Google Workspace customers, individual subscribers, and anyone with a personal Google account on iOS. Android users can expect to see this feature rolled out to them in the near future.
Dropdown menus are truly the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), as the youths say. This new filter update makes searching and browsing for files a much more pleasant experience, especially when you’re not sure where to find what you’re looking for. For example, you can easily filter by file type or last modified date to narrow down your search results.
I personally would love to see more options for filtering by different types of dates or file sizes in future updates. This improvement marks a significant step up from Google’s previous filter suggestions and swipeable filters. Who would have thought that dropdown menus would reign supreme?
