Sony has just given us a little sneak peek into the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. And guess what? A playable demo is right around the corner!
Now, I know you’re all eager to find out what happens to Aerith (unless the game’s producer is playing tricks on us), but hold your horses, my friends. We won’t have to wait until February 29th to get a taste of this highly anticipated game. Sony is planning to release the playable demo as early as tomorrow, February 6th!
According to the ever-reliable Wario64, who spotted a trailer for the demo on PlayStation Network, we’ll be able to “step into the shoes of either Cloud or Sephiroth during the Nibelheim episode.” Now that sounds like a whole lot of fun!
Now, I don’t want to spoil anything for those of you who may be experiencing Nibelheim for the first time, but let’s just say that it’s a major turning point in the game. Trust me when I say that it’s one of those “wait, what is going on here” moments that will leave you wanting more.
If you’re itching for more Final Fantasy VII Rebirth goodness (and who isn’t?), mark your calendars for Tuesday at 6:30 PM ET / 3:30 PM PT / 11:30 PM GMT. Sony will be treating us to an extended look at the game during a live stream on their YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok channels. I have a feeling that’s when they’ll drop the demo as well.
