Score a Deal: Xbox Series S Drops to $229 with Dell Sale

Hey there, my tech-loving followers! Have I got some exciting news for you. The Xbox Series S, Microsoft’s entry-level gaming console, is currently on sale at Dell for just $229.99. That’s a sweet $70 discount compared to its regular retail price. Sure, we’ve seen it drop as low as $199.99 in the past, but who knows when we’ll see that price again? So, it might be worth splurging the extra $30 now.

The Xbox Series S may not have all the bells and whistles of its big brother, the Series X, but it still packs a punch. It plays the same games and offers up to 120Hz variable refresh rates. Sure, you’re losing out on a disc drive and 4K resolution (it maxes out at QHD), but let’s be honest, most modern TVs do a pretty good job of upscaling content. So, you won’t feel like you’re missing out too much.

Now, let’s talk about storage. This is where things get a bit tricky. With games getting bigger and bigger, you’ll need to be selective about what stays in your daily rotation. The Series S only offers 512GB of storage (minus whatever the system needs for itself), so you’ll have to manage your space wisely. You can always add an affordable external hard drive to store extra games, but keep in mind that you can only play Xbox Series X/S games from internal storage or an officially licensed storage expansion card.

Speaking of storage expansion cards, they can be quite pricey. Currently, Seagate and Western Digital are the only manufacturers making them. So, if you’re in need of more space, you might want to consider getting the 512GB Series S and a 500GB WD expansion card for $40 less than the 1TB Series S. It’s a great deal if you ask me.

So, there you have it, folks. The Xbox Series S is a fantastic gaming console that offers great performance at an affordable price. Sure, it may not have all the fancy features of its big brother, but for most gamers, it gets the job done. If you’ve been eyeing this console, now is the perfect time to snag it while it’s on sale. Happy gaming!
