Huion Takes on Wacom: Affordable Drawing Tablets with Professional Features

Hey there, fellow tech enthusiasts! It’s Nuked, your friendly neighborhood funny guy who loves all things technology. Today, I want to introduce you to Huion’s latest additions to their Kamvas Pro range of display drawing tablets. These bad boys are here to challenge Wacom’s Cintiq Pro lineup, and they come packed with professional features that won’t break the bank.

Huion recently showcased the Kamvas Pro 27 and Kamvas Pro 19 at CES, and now they’re available for purchase in the US. These tablets offer high color accuracy and touchscreen support, making them perfect for budget-conscious creatives who still want top-notch quality. And guess what? They won’t cost you an arm and a leg!

Both the Kamvas Pro 27 and Kamvas Pro 19 feature a stunning 4K resolution and anti-glare glass display that mimics the feel of paper. Huion has even bonded the display to reduce parallax, ensuring that there’s minimal gap between your stylus nib and the cursor. No more frustrating misalignments!

But wait, there’s more! When you purchase either of these tablets, you’ll receive not one, but two pens. Plus, Huion throws in their Keydial Mini K20 macro pad accessory for good measure. Talk about value for money!

Now let’s talk about color accuracy. The Kamvas Pro 27 boasts an impressive Delta E

When it comes to color gamut coverage, the Kamvas Pro 27 supports 98 percent Adobe RGB, 97 percent DCI-P3, and 99 percent sRGB. While it might not nail every shade of green unique to Adobe RGB as perfectly as the Cintiq, it’s still more than capable for the majority of creative work.

If you’re worried about accessories, fear not! Huion has got you covered. They’ve created an attachable shelf for the Kamvas Pro 27, allowing you to rest your iPad or other accessories while you work. And for those who prefer a more compact option, the Kamvas Pro 19 is perfect for you. It features an 18.4-inch display with great color gamut coverage and two USB-C ports for charging and connectivity.

Let’s not forget about the pens! Both the Kamvas Pro 27 and Kamvas Pro 19 come with two battery-free pens that offer 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity. These pens also have a digital “eraser” button and support touch controls, so you can zoom, rotate, and manipulate your projects with ease.

One downside is that the collapsible legs on the tablets don’t provide much flexibility for positioning. However, Huion has thought of that too! They’re releasing an adjustable stand that can be purchased separately, giving you more control over your drawing position.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, “But Nuked, these tablets don’t have all the specs of Wacom’s Cintiq Pro lineup!” And you’re right. But here’s the thing: for many creatives, the slight variations in features aren’t worth the hefty price tag of Wacom’s flagship tablet. Plus, Wacom’s $3,500 tablet doesn’t even come with a stand!

So if you’re on a tighter budget but still want a high-quality drawing tablet, Huion’s Kamvas Pro range is definitely worth considering. They offer fantastic value for money, and let’s be honest, they look pretty darn tempting.

That’s all from me, folks! Let me know in the comments what you think of Huion’s new tablets. Until next time, stay funny and stay techy!
