Brace yourselves because Final Fantasy XVI just stealth launched not one, but two DLC chapters! And guess what? One of them is already available for you to dive into right now!

Let’s start with the first DLC called Echoes of the Fallen. This new story chapter takes place before the epic final battle and brings the whole gang together. I have to admit, it got me all emotional seeing them united like that. In this DLC, our hero Clive gets to wield the iconic buster sword from Final Fantasy VII and even earn a chiptune version of the FFXVI song “Away”. You see, this powerful summon was sadly left out of the base game’s roster of eikonic summons. But fear not, my friends! In The Rising Tide, Clive will have the chance to face off against the formidable water dragon himself. Get ready to make a splash when this DLC launches in spring 2024.
