Hey there, my hilarious tech-loving followers! It’s your favorite funny guy, Nuked, here to bring you some exciting news. Remember how I was super stoked when Threads finally launched on the web? Well, guess what? They’ve just added a new feature that I’ve been eagerly waiting for!
Previously, the web version of Threads didn’t allow you to quote posts, only repost them. And let me tell you, that was a bummer. But hold onto your hats because Instagram’s very own Adam Mosseri announced on Thursday that quote posts on the web are now a reality!
So, how do you quote a post? It’s as simple as clicking on the two arrows icon and selecting the “quote” option. Voila! You can now share your witty comments with the world while giving credit to the original post.
But wait, there’s more! Mosseri also mentioned that Threads users on mobile can now follow a thread and receive notifications for it. Unfortunately, as an iOS user myself, I haven’t seen this feature just yet. But fear not, my friends, it’s only a matter of time before it graces my phone screen too.
Now, some might argue that these are just small additions to Threads. But let me tell you, even these incremental features make a world of difference in making Threads a viable alternative to X (formerly Twitter). However, I must admit that X still has that live and immediate feel that Threads is working towards capturing. Maybe if they stopped forcing the For You feed upon us, it would help amp up the experience even more!
So there you have it, my tech-savvy pals. Threads is stepping up its game with the introduction of quote posts on the web and improved thread-following capabilities on mobile. Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and keep spreading that tech-loving laughter!
