Early this morning at 3:27AM ET, SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket from the iconic Kennedy Space Center. The rocket successfully propelled four astronauts into orbit, all part of NASA’s Crew-7 mission. These brave individuals will soon dock with the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday morning.

What’s really cool about this mission is that it brings together astronauts from four different countries. We have Jasmin Moghbeli representing NASA, Andreas Mogensen from the European Space Agency, Satoshi Furakawa from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and Konstantin Borisov, a Russian cosmonaut. Once the Dragon spacecraft, affectionately named Endurance, autonomously docks with the ISS, the crew count on the station will shoot up to 11 for a few days. But don’t worry, they won’t be cramped for long because they’ll be boarding the capsule and heading back to Earth in just a few days.
