If you’re a Steam user, you may have noticed a major change in the platform’s appearance recently. Valve has released a full stable update for Steam, which includes a complete overhaul of its interface. This update unifies the codebase between its Desktop, Big Picture Mode, and Steam Deck interfaces, and adds several new features that gamers are sure to love.
One of the most impressive new features is the cloud notepad, which allows users to jot down notes and access them across all devices. This feature is now available on desktop and Steam Deck, although it’s not yet possible to use it as a translucent in-game overlay on Steam Deck.
Aside from the cloud notepad, Valve has also revamped several other aspects of Steam. The web browser, screenshot manager, and notifications tabs have all been improved, and hardware acceleration has been added for Linux and Mac users.
